I believe that we are biologically wired for meaningful connection with others. Many have not experienced this to be a true reality. I work with individuals who long to understand their core selves and how to embrace relationships safely. I am nervous system informed and use a whole brain, whole body approach to understand the root cause of the struggles people bring to therapy.
If you are longing to feel change but hopeless, if you desire safe relationships but have never experienced them, and if you repeat the same behaviors knowing they aren't how you want to keep living, I would love to help you move toward understanding and healing.
I have a passion for working with student-athletes and retired athletes. I served on the University of Tennessee Sports Medicine team throughout my graduate program. I also have first hand experience navigating the world of sport as a competitive college athlete.
I have a Master of Science degree in Counseling with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a temporary license (LPC-MHSP-t) while working toward independent clinical licensure in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). I am completing licensure hours under the supervision of Jodi Clarke, LPC/MHSP.
