Jodi is a licensed therapist and TN state-approved clinical supervisor for therapists seeking the LPC/MHSP credential. Throughout her career, her desire has always been to help people love well and lead fulfilling, emotionally healthy lives. In addition to her clinical work, Jodi is an expert contributing writer for verywell mind in the areas of relationships, mental health and personal growth.
She has been a licensed therapist in private practice for 17 years and has worked in counseling and mental health since 1998. Jodi maintains active licenses in both Tennessee (LPC/MHSP) and Florida (LMHC) and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Over the last several years Jodi has focused on providing counseling services in the areas of marriage & relationships, anxiety, stress, grief and trauma. She has advanced training in highly effective, evidence-based models of therapy, including Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFCT), Individuals (EFIT) and Families (EFFT) as well as being informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) for individuals. Beyond clinical training, Jodi believes that being present and engaged with clients is what helps to facilitate healing and change. She is honored to earn the trust of clients and enjoys the relationships she builds with them during their work together.
Jodi has been married for 20 years and is blessed with two amazing sons. She is a Christian and highly values incorporating faith into the counseling process, while honoring the level to which clients prefer to do so. Outside of the therapy office, Jodi finds joy in spending time with family and friends, always up for a good laugh, enjoys reading and studying, long walks outside, and cuddling with her rescue pup, Maple (best therapist in town).
