About Jodi Clarke, MA, LPC/MHSP, NCC
I am a licensed therapist and approved clinical supervisor in Knoxville, TN. Throughout my career my focus has always been to help people love well and lead fulfilling, emotionally healthy lives. In addition to my therapy practice, I am an expert contributing writer for verywell mind in the areas of relationships, mental health and personal growth.
Over the last 23 years, 17 in private practice, I have worked with many populations and have trained in effective, evidence-based models of therapy. I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFCT), individuals (EFIT) and families (EFFT), as well as informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), among other models of counseling. I highly value being a lifelong learner and am passionate about continually providing good care to clients.
My goal is to help clients:
Enjoy safe and loving connections
Heal from painful experiences
Rise from unhealthy coping skills
Improve communication patterns
Overcome obstacles to growth
Experience peace and joy
On a personal note, I have been married for 20 years and we are blessed with two amazing sons. I am a Christian and so grateful for His hand on my life. I love spending time with family and friends, always up for a good laugh, like to read/study, go for walks, workout, and relax on the back porch with our sweet rescue dog, Maple... she is the best therapist in town!
