Marriage & Relationship Counseling Premarital Counseling
Modern relationships are more demanding than ever. As much as we spend time and energy seeking love and trying to find "our person," divorce rates continue to be high and strains on marriage become debilitating and emotionally exhausting. It's common for people who once felt so much love for each other to feel like strangers, roommates or business partners. Both people are hurting and unsure of what steps to take next.
People can also find themselves hurting long after the end of an important relationship. Wounds can be that of betrayal, abuse, neglect, loneliness and more. Even though the pain runs deep, we often long for healing and the ability to move forward in a healthy way. Our healing journey can involve simply getting back to a sense of normalcy or (re)discovering who you are and finding the courage to trust again.
Although goals and situations are different, we may work on things such as:
Unhealthy Relationship Recovery
Healing Post-Divorce (or Breakup)
Marital Stress
Lack of Communication / Intimacy
Stressful Life Transition
Relationships are not meant to leave us feeling hurt and alone. In fact, they are designed for us to live fully with the safety of knowing we are emotionally connected to another. Healing is possible, even for couples who have long-standing patterns of disconnect and those individuals who are hurting deeply from relational wounds.
