What are your fees? Provider fees are based on their level of education, years of experience, and specialized training. Please review our provider pages for more detailed information on their services and fees.
How frequent are sessions? Although needs can vary from client to client, it is standard to hold sessions weekly or every other week. As progress continues, sessions are transitioned to a less frequent schedule. As a client, you are always a part of the decision making in determining frequency of visits and you will talk about that openly with your provider.
Do you take insurance? No, our providers do not accept insurance. For counseling services, providers can give you a detailed receipt, upon request, to submit to your medical insurance company for out of network benefits. Please note: A mental health diagnosis will need to be declared on your receipt for your insurance company to deem counseling services medically necessary and, therefore, eligible for reimbursement.
Do you offer supervision for therapists? Yes, Jodi Clarke is a state-approved clinical supervisor and offers individual, dyadic and group supervision for clinicians seeking the LPC/MHSP credential in Tennessee. Please see Jodi's provider page for more information and to inquire about supervision availability. Are your providers available for speaking events? Yes, providers at Grace Counseling Associates have enjoyed participating in a variety of public speaking events in the Knoxville area. We have participated in guest interviews for television, radio, podcasts, and have facilitated workshops and seminars at a variety of local schools and community organizations. Providers of Grace Counseling Associates have also had the pleasure of being guest presenters for undergraduate and graduate level counseling courses at The University of Tennessee and other local colleges.
No Surprises Act Information Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
