Counseling for Teens

Teenagers often experience deep emotions that are hard for them to put into words. Because you love your child, you can sense their sadness, their anger or their self-doubt, etc. You may have asked repeatedly how they are doing, spend quality time with them, initiate any conversation you can, trying to find a way to connect and help. Sometimes we find success in connecting with our child and helping them through their challenges. Other times we can feel that, no matter what we do, we seem to be pushing them away more. We can feel them shutting down or becoming escalated quickly, finding ourselves a bit lost in knowing what to do next. When we start to feel like we're running out of options as a loving parent, we can often feel helpless and unsure of where to turn.
